Das Ensemble 5 schöpft aus einem grossen Pool von musikalischen Ausdrucksmöglichkeiten. Die verschiedenen Hintergründe der Bandmitglieder, ihr grosses Vokabular und ihre Fähigkeit zuzuhören und aufeinander zu reagieren bilden das Grundgerüst für die oft komplexe Klang-Architektur, jenseits des Mainstreams.

Die Gruppe ist seit 2010 durch eine Reihe von Jamsessions zusammengewachsen. 2012 erscheint die erste Aufnahme “Solstice” bei dem renommierten englischen Label Leo Records.
